The Orioles survived a tight battle with the Irondale Knights, winning by a score of 4-1. The Knights scored first in the top of 4th on a single by their leadoff hitter Lemaire, who advanced to 2nd on a sacrifice and a single by catcher Ostlund. But the Orioles bounced back in the bottom of the 4th with a run of their own. April Jacobs started the inning with a single, Taylor Kottke move her up to 2nd, Laine Ruska then walked to load the bases. With 2 outs and bases still loaded, Hannah Carmon stepped up to the plate and spun a ball towards shortstop then beat the throw to first base, as Ruska scored. The Orioles plated 3 in the bottom of the 5th to break the game open. Jacobs executed a perfect squeeze bunt which started the scoring and Ruska and Bri Jones hit back to back doubles to finish the scoring. Katie Johnson picked up her 5th win of the season, striking out 7 Irondale batters and walking none.
