The Orioles played a solid game against Elk River on Saturday which eventually ended in an overtime 1-1 tie. The Orioles scored first on an attack which came across the field to eventually find outside midfielder, Lariah Boone, who finished for the game’s first goal. The Elks responded just minutes later. The initial shot bounced off of goalkeeper, Erica Seitz’s knee, due to contact from an Elks forward. The rebound shot hit the crossbar and bounced into the net. The Orioles dominated possession in the second half but were unable to find the net again. Austyn Findley controlled the defense for almost the entirety of the game. Senior Captains Nistler, Lor, Dooher, and Cassin took turns in the central midfield and provided stability and hustle which lead to numerous offensive opportunities. The Orioles take on Irondale on Tuesday for a home game.
